The children's ministry at Life Gate Fellowship is known as C.A.M.P. Kids. All programs in our children's ministry fall into one or more of these categories:
C onnecting kids to Christ
A llowing God to work through kids
M aking disciples
P reparing kids for battle
Our mission statement is:
T eaming up with parents to
R aise children who
A re empowered by the Holy Spirit and
I n love with God so they will
N ever depart from Him.
Our mission statement is based on the promise of Proverbs 22:6, "Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will never depart from it."
We believe that the most important influence in your child's spiritual development is you - the parents. We believe that what happens at home is more important than what happens at church. Our goal is not to take the place of the parent's responsibility for the spiritual training of their kids but to work with parents in that regard. We believe that God wants families to be united not divided. Our services always begin with families worshipping together in church. After a few songs, the children are released to their classrooms.
Some additional ways that we team up with parents are:
Family discipleship at home - After every service, we send home handouts with ideas that parents can use throughout the week to reinforce at home the lessons that their kids learned during our children's services.
Family Sundays - On the 1st and 4th Sundays of each month, children over the age of six remain in the worship service with their families so they can experience worship with their parents and hear the message from Pastor Bill.
Families serving together - We provide opportunities for parents and kids to serve others.
