Stacy Andersen
Children's Pastor
Stacy has a passion for sharing Jesus with kids that she hopes is contagious. She says, "I believe the Bible teaches that parents are to be the spiritual leaders over their children (Deut. 6:4-9) so my goal as children's pastor is to assist parents with that training by ministering to kids and providing parents with activities and Bible lessons they can do at home with their kids. I believe that what happens at home is more important than what happens at church. I also believe that kids can be used by God so we provide opportunities for kids to serve the Lord and others during our services and outreach ministry."
Stacy grew up at Lake Palo Pinto and currently lives with her husband, Keith, and their teenagers, Jessi and Jake, in the Millsap area of Parker County. She enjoys being outside, coaching youth sports, visiting sunny places and supporting her children in their extracurricular activities. She grew up in a loving, Christian home, accepted Christ as her Savior at the age of seven and as a teenager began to feel called into the ministry. She attended Cedar Valley College where she majored in music. In 1991, she married Keith and began a career as a legal assistant for a divorce lawyer. During the 14 years that she was in the legal field, she began volunteering in the children’s ministry at her church. Seeing the effects that divorces and broken homes had on children, she left her job as a legal assistant to begin full-time ministry with children in 2004. She joined the Life Gate staff in 2009.
